Bill Kramer and Danny Shanz will move on to the next level as boater and co-angler in the National Tournament in April 2007.

Open Tournament. The NCBF held its second 2006 Open tournament on Sunday, October 8th. John Sisson and Pete O’Donnell came in with a five fish limit per team, weighing over 17 pounds. Tim Cameron and Bo Curry came in second.

Website(s):  The NCBF website is now featuring pictures of our kids and adult members enjoying what we do best, fishing. Two other websites will continue to highlight the NCBF in action, www.flwoutdoors.com and www.bassfan.com.

Participation Roster 2006:  The 2006 roster has been posted on our website listing all members and their activity in the NCBF in 2006. This roster is used to identify member participation in meetings, projects and tournaments during a calendar year.

New Business:

Elections: Two of the 2007 Board members were on work assignments and a third was absent recovering from back surgery. The full Board will be sworn in at the next Executive meeting. All members are welcome at all NCBF meetings.

Timonium Bass Expo: All 26 members requesting an opportunity to participate in staffing the Trout Pond reported as scheduled. The pond expenses totaled $479.73 and income totaled $1172.73 for a net of $693.00. This project was a great start for those needing to get on board with building state team points. Thanks to all of you.

State Team Qualifications: A great deal of discussion has taken place over the past two years concerning the NCBF’s method of qualifying for the state team. The current method, posted on the webpage, has lead to many members being mislead as to the makeup of the team. The discussion today resulted in two recommendations for vote by the fishing membership. A ballot will be mailed. One is to use a cumulative weight system and the other is to use a points system. The majority of the members present favored the point system.

The 2006 State Team: The team was introduced. The Boater Angler-of the-Year is Mickey McCleary with 2nd, Pete O’Donnell, Sr., 3rd. Bill Kramer. The other three boaters are John Celada, Tim Cameron and Danny Shanz.

The Co-Angler of the-Year is Nate Routzahn with 2nd, Anthony Shanz and 3rd, Seth Brohawn. The other co-anglers are Cedric Simon, Mike Dodd and Wayne Ball. This team will represent us at the Mid-Atlantic Divisional in September, 2007. The Divisional will be held on the Naticoke River .

Membership: We received 40 member dues for 2007. They have been sent to the TBF. Invoices were sent to 70 2006 members. Of that, 30 were members not active throughout the year and have not renewed. John Sisson and I have been visiting clubs to brief them on our Federation. Many questions were answered at the Timonium Bass Expo.

Tournament Committee: The 2007 tournament committee has selected the Tournament Trail sights. They are April 29th. (Q) Leesylvania: May 26th. (Open) Leesylvania: June 10th. (Q) Dundee ; August 12th. (Q) Naticoke; and October 7th. (Open) Leesylvania.
