Tournament Format

Tournament Trail consists of 3 TX's each year to qualify the State Team participants. Additional (non-qualifying) TX’s can be added in the future if it is the desire of the membership. Angler of the Year in both boater and non-boater divisions will be determined by the cumulative weight of the 3 qualifying tournaments.

All TX’s will be boater non-boater (Pro-Am) format, with two separate pots and each competitor fishing within their own division for a portion of the pots.

All members must participate in 2 of 3 TX's and must participate in 2 of the 3 Federation projects to be eligible. Failure to complete these requirements will put any member in bad standing and will forfeit any earned status (such as State Team Member).

Payout will be as follows in each division after 30% of the entry fees total is deducted for Federation operating expenses and all tournament expenses incurred by the Federation to pay for plaques, TX site fees, etc have been satisfied...

Members can enter into a lunker pot. There will be a lunker pot for each division. A member will have to enter the lunker pot for his division, in order participate in any payout. Lunker payout will be 100% in each division.

All State Team slots will come from the 3 qualifying TX's. Look at the chart attached to see what the make up of the team is. The winner in each TX in each division makes the team; top three in each division in the angler of the year standings makes the team. All qualifiers will qualify in their divisions and cannot change or upgrade between divisions. The alternate will be the angler that catches the largest bass of the year in the 3 events, and does not have to participate in the lunker pot to qualify. The last member of the team is the President or his representative. For the first year at a minimum, the state team will not be funded and as the economic outlook of this start up federation changes this will be an area that will be addressed. The State Team will be provided with apparel and sponsor items even in the first year. If someone cannot fish or chooses not to fish his or her replacement will come out of his division in the same pecking order. Example: Angler of the year in boater division also wins a TX, the next person in line at the TX he or she won in the boater division will take his slot for the TX win. Another Example: 2^nd place angler in Angler of the year non-boater division can not fish, the third place angler of the year in the non-boater division moves up to second and the fourth place non-boater in angler of the year division moves onto the state team as #3 Angler of the year non-boater division.
