The NCBF kids fished against the kids from Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania on Sunday June 18th from Smallwood State Park. Jennifer Bennett and Graylan Wright represented the older kids (15 to 18) and Megan Bennett and Tyler Thorne (11 to 14) represented the younger division. Each team was captained by Pete O'Donnell and Steve Wiseman. The teams caught fish and placed well in the competition.
Chuck Hartzman, Mickey McCleary, Keith Wright, Debbie Muth, Jim Kline and Gale Bennett assisted with the setup, cooking and weigh in. All were fed at the end of the day. The Maryland Bass Federation hosted and funded the days events.The next youth tournament will be at Kerr and hosted by Virginia.

This is a barge load of trash collected on April 20th (Earth Day) on the waters and along the shoreline of the Anacostia River by members of the Anacostia Watershed Society and Nations Capitol Bass Federation members. What a difference a day makes. Thanks to all that turned out for this event. |

BASS ANNOUNCES NEW GRASS ROOT CIRCUIT
Bicentennial Bassmasters President Alan Mullis and club member Chuck Walker accept National Awards from Ray Scott For Conservation, Community Service, Youth, and "Chapter of the Year" at the Federation Nationals.
Danny Shanz with a 5 lb 1oz fish good for $1000.00 at the Citgo Nationals. Danny placed second in the Eastern Division and eighth nationally. (Click Here for Pictures)
