Old Business

2006 Ballot: This is the time to discuss next years’ list of nominees to serve on the NCBF Board in 2006. The list will be placed on a ballot and forwarded to the membership after the October meeting. All current Board members are eligible to be President. The Board members, club Presidents and interested members in good standing are eligible to serve on all other Board positions. Let Chuck Walker or a current Board member know if you wish to participate or discuss the positions.

Banner: The banner was lost at the Nanticoke tournament so we need to purchase a new banner and logo for the trailer. Bo Curry will work on this.

2005 Participation Roster: An extensive roster has been developed for all members to show their total participation for all events in the federation. This info will then be posted on the website and updated immediately after an event, a meeting or a tournament.

New Business

NCBF Open Team Tournament: A discussion was held to hold “2” Open Team Tournaments vice “1”. This event is a good money maker for the federation, but were not getting a lot of participation. The idea is if we held “2” tournaments (Spring and Fall) and lowered the entry fees (either $100 or $150 plus $10 for Lunker vice $200 plus Lunker) we may attract more anglers. This proposal was tabled until next meeting.

Proposed Non-Boater Fees: A discussion was held to possibly set a standard fee for the non-boaters share of expenses with their boater. The unanimous decision was to put this issue out to the membership for a vote. The proposal is to set a fee of $40.00 plus the ramp fee.

Proposed Increase to the Annual Membership dues:  A discussion was held to possibly increase the membership dues from $60 to $75 annually. The unanimous decision was to put this issue out to the membership for a vote. The proposal is to raise annual dues to $75.00.

Proposed Change to the Angler of the Year Qualifying Format:  The current AOY format for boater and non-boater was discussed. It was a unanimous decision by the Board to propose a change to the AOY format to the membership for a vote. The proposal is to require that an angler must fish ALL NCBF qualifying tournaments (vice 2 as written) and the AOY in each category will be determined after the final qualifying tournament.
