NCBF Board Meeting

Call to Order: The
meeting was called to order at
Roll Call: Executive Board members and others in attendance: Chuck Walker, Chuck Hartzman, Bo Curry, Jim Kline, John Sisson, Nate Routzahn, Danny Shanz.
Treasurer’s Report: Current balance is $4507.21. There are no outstanding payments to be made. Status of the IRS situation: No response back yet from the IRS, but Jim will continue to contact them and keep the Board informed.
2006 Ballot: The ballots have been mailed to all active members. The ballots are due back to the Secretary on December 31, 2005 and counted at the Membership meeting in January, 2006.
Proposed Changes: The proposal(s) to increase the annual dues; to set a standard non-boater fee; and require Angler of the Year candidates to fish all Qualifier tournaments have been voted upon and have passed by the voting membership. The results are:
Dues increase: Votes 27. Yes 27. No 0. (NOTE: 34% of members voted).
Set Non Boater Fee: Votes 27. Yes 26. No 1. (NOTE: 11 Non boaters voted yes 42%)
AOY: Votes 25. Yes 19. No 6.
The President will prepare Standing rules to cover these issues for
presentation at the January meeting.
Banner: Discuss purchasing a new banner or paint the trailer. Bo will look into this and report back.
2005 Participation Roster: The “final” Participation Roster is completed with only the December meeting to be added to it. After that, the 2006 NCBF State Team will be formed and announced.
New Business
Open Team
Tournament: The discussion at the Membership meeting last month recommended
having “two Open Team Tournaments” in 2006, one in the spring and another
one in the fall. The recommendation was to also lower the entry fee to either
$100 or $150 per team plus lunker fee.
New Projects: Here are the proposed “official projects” for 2006
Timonium Bass Expo Trout Pond - January 12th -15th. (Approved)
The
Membership Meeting
in January 2006: The normal Membership Meeting date is on the 2nd
Sunday, January 8th. The President will be at the Nationals in
2005 Participation Roster: Chuck Hartzman has developed a roster of participating members to be posted on the website. Tim Cameron has developed the 2005 State Team standings as of Sunday, August 14th. The two sets of records will be merged to establish a final 2006 State Team before the December Executive Board meeting.
Tournament Schedule
2006: John Sisson prepared a calendar of national and local tournaments for
2006. That list has been forwarded to both Vice Presidents for development and
review.

Tour: Same rules as in 2005. No changes.
Women’s Bassmaster Tour: 2006 will have 5 tour events scheduled with the championship in 2007.
NCBF Website: The website is being maintained and updated by Alan Mullis.
Miscellaneous: The new NCBF hats and federation patches are now available for sale. They come in three different color styles and are available at meetings, tournaments or by calling Chuck Walker at (301) 977-5282 or ncbfchuckwalker@earthlink.net.
