NCBF Executive Board Meeting Minutes

March 15, 2005

 

Location: The Nations Capitol Bass Federation (NCBF) meeting was held at the Trinity United Methodist Church . The Church is located at the corner of Germantown Road (Route 118) and Clopper Road in Germantown , Maryland .

Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm .

Roll Call:  Executive Board and members in attendance: Chuck Walker , Bo Curry , Tim Cameron, Jim Kline, Chuck Hartzman , Michael McCarthy, John Celada, B.J. Walsh, Larry Dodd.

Treasurer’s Report: Total balance is $13,321.47, of which $1529.95 is still in the Sandy Springs Bank account. Treasurer’s report accepted.

Membership: Several members still have not paid their 2005 dues. A letter will be going out to them to either pay for full membership or change there status to “associate member” to keep their BASS Federation status active.

           

Old Business

 

U.S. Park Service: Chuck Walker spoke with Park Police about our bond refund and has them working on it. Will give it another month before sending another letter.

 

Trout Pond: The trout pond needs the following repairs done:

1.      Rebuild pond for trout pond liner. Lumber, Greg Dice

2.      Rebuild filtration system. Pint and Mike McCarthy

3.      Trout pond aeration system upgrade. New pumps. Wayne Ball

4.      Have signs made.

5.      Rods for pond use only. Mike McCarthy

6.      Finish project for Fair. Bo Curry

7.      Pictures for Show Booth and Pond. Bo Curry .

 

Trailer Tags:  The address for the registration has been changed to Tim Cameron’s address.

 

Lunker Plaques: Two Lunker plaques are still needed for 2004. Jim Kline will order.

 

2005 State Team Standings: The 2005 State Team roster has been completed except for the 1st Alternate position. The Board and Tournament Committee will meet to figure out who that will be. Other items for the 2005 State team:

-  Lodging in Maine has been confirmed.

- AOL/Champion Plaque- Executive Board approved AOL/Champion Plaque.   

- State Team shirts- consider utilizing past shirts to save on cost.

New Business

 

Dick’s Sporting Goods CastingKids. March 20th  @ Noon NEW

Pairings Meeting: Friday, March 25th @ 7 PM. Bo Curry

Anacostia Cleanup: Saturday April 2nd @ Anacostia Park 8 AM. Bo Curry

4H CastingKids: Saturday April 2nd @ La Plata , MD 9 AM. Debbie Muth

Member/Presidents Meeting: Sunday April 3rd @ Training Academy 10 AM.

NCBF Qualifier TX: Leesylvania SP Sunday April 10th @ Daylight.

Pairings Meeting: Friday, April 22nd  @ 7 PM. Bo Curry

 

Special Projects Category:  Website, special travel for NCBF, as directed by the Board, use of private property (storage), and Standing Rules.

           

Laptop Computer Requirement: Bo has the laptop but is waiting for the Tx program

 

Scales: Done and will be back for the tournament.

 

Weigh-In Slips: Ready to use for the tournament (3 part BASS form).

2004-2005 Web Calendars of Events:

            Need Dates: Picnic

            Fishing Trip in July

            Jr. State Team Contest

 

Miscellaneous:   Becky Sisson (Stitch-n-Stuff -301-774-4503) has delivered the NCBF member hats, with logos. They are available for sale for $15. They are in three different color styles and can be purchased at the meetings, tournaments or by calling Chuck @ 301-977-5282. We have the NCBF Federation patches for $3 each.

Next Meeting: The next regularly scheduled NCBF Executive Board meeting is scheduled for April 3rd  @ 10 AM at the Training Academy .
