Website(s):  The NCBF website is now featuring pictures of our members enjoying what we do best. Kids and fishing. Two other websites will continue to highlight the NCBF in action, www.flwoutdoors.com and www.bassfan.com. The latest Bass Times listed Marc Leone’s win on the Potomac . I expect we will see an article on John Hauserman in the near future.

Tournaments:  Applications for the NCBF Open and Qualifying TX ’s are available on line. The next NCBF Qualifying TX is August 13th  on the Naticoke. The draw will take place on August 4th. at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Rockville .

New Business:

State Team Meeting: Most members on the State Team came to the last Executive Board meeting. Each member of the team will receive 3 shirts and 3 hats. The hats will come from the NCBF inventory. The team hotel rooms in New Jersey have been paid for. The team members can check in on September 23rd and stay one extra day until the 30th. . The team budget will be $100 for non boaters and $400 for boaters..

Official pre-tournament practice days (3) are September 24 through the 26th. The tournament days (3) are September 27th through the 29th. Six days of back-to-back fishing. Instructions and rules have been mailed to each member and alternate.

Tournament Trailer: The interior and exterior of the trailer needs work. I propose we create a project to refurbish the trailer to allow for a one person operation to set up.

Non-Boater Fees: All non-boaters are required to pay the boater fee of $40. In addition, the ramp fee is required irregardless of the boater having a paid entry sticker on his vehicle unless the ramp is free. Please remember this is a tournament rule, and members can be disqualified.

Open Team Tournament October 8th: Let’s keep this item moving. It’s an excellent fund raiser. The last Open resulted in two non boaters paying the entry fee of $110 just so they could fish. Ideas like this need to be promoted.

Youth Tournament June 18th: Pete O’Donnell and Steve Wiseman make excellent youth boat captains. Their two NCBF kids per boat, caught fish and had a great day. Mickey McCleary and Keith Wright were our backup boaters. Chuck Hartzman served as the tournament cook, with Jim Kline providing the weigh in announcements and presentations. All fished well and ate well. The event was hosted and paid for by the Maryland Bass Federation. Congratulations to Megan Bennett, Tyler Thorne and Graylon Wright from our 11 to 14 age group, and Jennifer Bennett from the 15 to 18 age group.

Next Meeting: The next NCBF meeting will be held on Tuesday August 15th. at the Trinity United Methodist Church , 7:00 PM .

Meeting Adjourned: 11:06 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,
