NCBF EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING MINUTES

February 21, 2006

 

Location: Trinity United Methodist Church , Germantown , MD.

 

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm .

 

Roll Call: Members present were, Chuck Walker, Bo Curry, Tim Cameron, John Sisson, Brian Cox, Mike Dodd, Larry Riner, Chuck Hartzman.

 

Treasurer’s Report: Chuck Walker reported for Pint Kline. Current balance is $3300.03. Also, $900 was received from BASS which has not been deposited as of this report. Tax issue with the IRS has been resolved. All paperwork has been updated without issues, fines etc to NCBF. The Trout Pond profit at BASS EXPO was $1732 (this still does not cover original costs). There are 12 members still with outstanding invoices for dues. Mike Dodd has taken the position of Treasurer. All accounts should be transferred by next meeting.

Motion made and seconded for approval.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

TBF/FLW: A roster was sent 2/15/06 with 46 names. We are covered by insurance as a Federation. Chuck Walker is looking into insurance for projects.

 

BASS Logo: BASS/ESPN has requested we remove their logo from our website. This has been completed. We as TBF/FLW members should also remove the BASS logo from our shirts and other clothing if you did not join BASS.  New TBF/FLW embroidery will be available soon. The NCBF logo will remain the same.

 

Angler of The Year: A motion was made to appeal the requirement for the Angler Of The Year to fish all 3 qualifying tournaments. After discussion, the motion was passed that The Angler of The Year will be determined by Total Weight.

Trout Pond: Discussion to place adds for the Trout Pond on webpage to be used at different events. Also, Chuck Walker will check on setting up at Wal-Mart for Stren Series Tournament. All members are asked to keep in mind the NCBF will be interested in setting up the trout pond at most public events. Call Chuck for details.

 

Trailer:  The NCBF Trailer was discussed for possible replacement with a larger trailer, mainly due to transporting the Trout Pond. It was decided that at this time it is not possible. In addition, it was decided not to paint or stencil the trailer at this time.

 

NCBF Banner: Chuck Walker is checking with Nelson Graphics as to the cost of a new banner.

 

Projects Completion:  A page will be placed on the website to show completed projects and list members who completed those projects.

 

Tournament Pairings Notification: Notification of tournament pairing will be by email. If you do have an email address, a letter will be sent. If you do not receive notice from the Tournament Committee, or get called by your partner, at least 1 week prior to the tournament, you will need to call the Tournament Director.

 

Weigh-In Bags: Bo Curry is checking into purchasing or possible donation of bags from Dicks. Chuck Walker will talk to Bass Pro Shops.

 

Regional Tournament: Correction of the dates for the regional tournament in New Jersey . Sept 23 thru Sept 29, 2006 . Reservations have been made, contact Chuck Walker if you intend on taking wives etc.

 

Laptop Computer: Discussion was held concerning the purchase of a laptop computer for the Treasurer. Chuck Walker will look into the possibility of having the computer donated.
