Executive Board Meeting Minutes

 

NOTICE: Open Tournament – June 2nd – Leesylvaina. $100 per Boat, 5 fish limit.

Location: Presidents Home.

Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM

 Roll Call:  Members present were John Sisson, Chuck Walker, Bo Curry, Brian Cox, and Tim Cameron.

Treasurer’s Report: John Sisson reported on the status of the treasury.

Old Business:

State Team Qualifications: The official membership ballot count at the April Membership meeting approved a plan to qualify members for the NCBF State Team. The results require all members fishing a Qualifying NCBF tournament to be granted a minimum of fifty points with the winner receiving 100 points. The second place finisher on to the member having in the smallest weight will have points descending in number until we reach the member not catching fish. This system will not affect the boater or non boater division. Each division will have its own pot and plaques.

The 2006 State Team: The team for 2006 is as follows: The Boater Angler-of the-Year is Mickey McCleary with 2nd, Pete O’Donnell, Sr., 3rd. Bill Kramer. The other three boaters are John Celada, Tim Cameron and Danny Shanz.

The Co-Angler of the-Year is Nate Routzahn with 2nd, Anthony Shanz and 3rd, Seth Brohawn. The other co-anglers are Cedric Simon, Mike Dodd and Wayne Ball. This team will represent us at the Mid-Atlantic Divisional in September, 2007. The Divisional will be held on the Naticoke River in Delaware .

Tournament Committee: The remaining 2007 tournaments sights are on April 29th (Q) Leesylvania: June 2nd (Open) Leesylvania: June 10th. (Q) Dundee ; August 12th. (Q) Naticoke; and October 7th. (Open) at Leesylvania.                      (Q)=Qualifying TX.

Tournament Trailer: Anthony Shanz volunteered and has refurbished the trailer with cabinets and eye hooks to hang sponsor banners. This project is complete and we are ready with new signs and logos.

New Business:

Montgomery County Fair Trout Pond: The Fair starts on August 10th through the 18th. We have been invited to place our trout pond at the Fair for 8 days as a Federation fund raising event. All members will be asked to staff the pond during Fair hours from noon to10 PM.

Plaques: We have been reviewing the plaques presented to tournament anglers in past years. That review will be completed in the next few weeks, hopefully in time for the next tournament.

FLW: The NCBF has been offered the opportunity to staff the Wal-Mart FLW Tournament, June 14th – 17th on the Potomac River at Smallwood State Park . All of our members will be required to staff this event, including the NCBF Youth. This will be a Project, plus it will give us the biggest shot in the arm locally and nationwide. FLW staff will contact us in the near future.

Contracts: The Plano Molding Company has signed on with TBF and has offered us discounts on their tackle systems. I will receive ordering info shortly. The State Team will receive a package in August.

Lowrance: This contract has been signed and we now have the ability to order electronics direct from the factory. Please call the Chuck Walker if you need new equipment.

Miscellaneous: Shirts, stitching, patches and NCBF/FLW/TBF Logos are provided by Becky Sisson @ 301-774-4503 or stitchnstuff@aol.com .  NCBF hats are available from Chuck Walker.

Tournaments: Second TX drawing June, 1st, 7 PM at Dick’s Sporting at RIO .

                        The TX date is Sunday, June 10th at Dundee State Park , first light.

Next Meeting: The next NCBF meeting will be held on Sunday, July 8th, at 10:00 AM .
