NCBF EXECUTIVE BOARD Minutes

June 20, 2006

 

Location: Trinity United Methodist Church , Germantown , MD.

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM

Roll Call: Members Present: Chuck Walker, John Sisson, Tim Cameron, Mike Dodd, Chuck Hartzman, Shawn Ezersky, Greg Dice, Danny Shanz and John Celada.

Treasurer’s Report: Mike Dodd reported $11,122.60 on hand.

OLD BUSINESS:

TBF/FLW:  Membership cards and other items are now being sent to members. As reported, the processing of the membership paperwork is nearly complete. The TBF Presidents will be meeting in Birmingham , Ala. from July 31st through August 6th. NCBF President Chuck Walker will attend the first TBF national meeting.

Banner:  Jim Borum volunteered to check the prices of a new banner. He was able to get a new banner for a $50 donation to the designer at Signs by Tomorrow.

Projects:  We are still looking for project ideas for the membership.

                  NEW Project, June 25th in Waldorf. Call Debbie Muth at 301-934-1129 for directions and details.

                  Another Project, July 16 in Waldorf, Call Debbie Muth at 301-934-1129 for directions and details. This will be a very big event. DNR and Isaac Walton will host over 200 kids. We will teach the use on different rod and reels, knot tying and how to treat fish after they are caught. You will be fed lunch. This item is listed on the TBF web page (www.bassfederation.com.) under Mid Atlantic Division.

Website: Alan Mullis has completed all the required changes to the website. Through his effort, the site is up and running. Dave Hamrick has updated the Tournament and Membership applications and they can be downloaded for use. Alan has removed all references to the former national bass organization as required by them. We have met our internal deadline to complete that task.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

State Team Meeting: Discussed clothing, each member will receive 3 shirts and 1 Hat. Hats will be from the present NCBF inventory. Hotel dates and tournament days are in question. Chuck will make calls to confirm.

Tournament Trailer: The tournament committee is looking for a member to volunteer to tow the trailer to and from the events this year. The volunteer needs to call Chuck Walker for details. A Project point will be granted for this service. Greg Dice has handled this but could use some help.

Non Boater Fees: It was brought up that some Non Boaters have not paid the full ramp fees and the required $40 to the boater at some of the past tournaments. Please remember this is a tournament rule, and members can be disqualified.

NCBF Tournament June 11, 2006 : Disqualification: A letter was submitted to the board asking that the total weight for John Hauserman in TX#2 be disqualified for rule infractions. Rule #4 Missed Launch meeting and Rule #11 No Boat Safety Check. A vote was passed to disqualify John Hauseman’s weight.

Open Team Tournament: 2005 versus 2006. A brief discussion was held concerning the advertisement of the opens. More discussion to come.

Youth Tournament June 18th: Pete O’Donnell and Steve Wiseman were our boat captains. Mickey McCleary and Keith Wright were our backup captains. The chef for the event was Chuck Hartzman. Debbie Muth was our Youth Director for the event.

Steve put Jennifer Bennett and Tyler Thorne onto fish. Pete’s two kids, Graylan Wright and Meghan Bennett outscored Steve’s two. The tournament will be on Kerr next year, hosted by Virginia . This event was hosted by Maryland .
