Nations Capitol Bass Federation Represented Well at PVA

The annual Maryland/Delaware PVA tournament held out of Smallwood State Park on June 22nd and 23rd was a huge success. Thanks to the many volunteers from Maryland Bass Federation, Nations Capitol Bass Federation and all the hard work and many hours of planning put in by the MD/Del PVA chapter, everything went smooth and was very rewarding.

I was proud to see that four of the NCBF members received checks and plaques on day one and three members on day two. Mark Leone was on the winning team on day one and Alan Mullis and his partner Kurt Glass placed third. John Sisson and partner placed sixth followed by Mike Glazier and partner. Day two brought Alan Mullis, John Sisson and Kevin Miller back to scales to receive checks, prizes and plaques.

Nations Capitol Bass Federation helped to provide Maryland and D.C. fishing license for sale, paramedics, kids for the Bank Division, ground helpers and boaters for the Open division. Our Youth Director, Debbie Muth ran the Bank Division and helped the kids with lunch and drinks for all the bank anglers. Debbie and our kids did a great job as did all the volunteers.

If you have not ever helped with the PVA events you can not began to know the rewarding feeling it gives you to spend a weekend with people that have given up a lot more to assure us freedom in our great country. Please consider coming out next year and helping with the PVA tournament. It will be time well spent!
